Fernando Alonso First podium since Hungary 2014

Fernando Alonso rolled back the years to earn his first podium for the Alpine F1 Team and his first in Formula1 since Hungary 2014. In doing so, Alonso broke the record for the longest interval between podiums, 105 races. The Spaniard initially took P2 from Gasly on the opening lap, before being overtaken by Verstappen in the Red Bull Racing Honda. From there on it was a serene drive to make the podium. With Alonso's podium and teammate Esteban Ocon's P5, it was also a fantastic day for Alpine F1 Team with the team picking up 25 points.
