3RD ACTIVE PITCHER TO RECORD 2,500TH CAREER K
Bartolo Colon - 06/12/2018 TOPPS NOW® Card 316 - Print Run: 205
With a strikeout in the first inning, Bartolo Colon recorded the 2,500th strikeout of his career. Colon is the third active pitcher to reach that milestone, joining Justin Verlander and CC Sabathia. The veteran is just one win away from breaking Juan Marichal's record for most wins by a pitcher from the Dominican Republic. He is also just two shy of Dennis Martinez's record of 245 wins by a pitcher from Latin America.
