The Red Sox hit a season high for hits (12) and runs (11) by sending 15 batters to the plate in the inning. It was Boston's biggest offensive output in an inning since June 27, 2003, the Red Sox scored 14 runs on 13 hits in the bottom of the first inning, also against the Marlins.
