Jarlín García

After ten innings covering six days, Jarlín Garcia finally allowed a hit as a starting pitcher. The Marlins left-hander made his second MLB start, and managed to keep opponents out of the hit column until New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar broke the streak with a one-out double in the fifth inning. The Marlins cruised to a 9-1 win over the Yankees on Garcia's historic night. His ten-inning streak of no hits allowed to start his career as a starting pitcher tied the modern MLB record. Bobo Holloman was the last to achieve the feat as he did so in 1953 as a member of the St. Louis Browns.
