With runners on first and second, Zack Britton entered the game looking to preserve a 4-1 lead over the Houston Astros. The left-handed relief ace promptly retired two batters to escape the jam before coming back out for a second inning of work. Britton gave the Yankees exactly what they needed, striking out two in a perfect eighth inning before giving the ball to Aroldis Chapman to force a Game 6.
