Making his MLB debut, Griffin Canning retired the first ten batters he faced, sending down five with strikeouts. Canning pitched into the fifth inning and finished with six strikeouts, allowing just four hits and three runs. His efforts kept the Angels in a game they eventually won, 4-3.
