Making his sixth start of the season, Corbin has been generating some buzz regarding National League Cy Young contention. The 25-year-old definitely helped his case on Wednesday afternoon. Burns allowed just one baserunner through seven shutout innings and struck out a season-high 11 Tigers in the 19-0 victory. He now sports a 1.99 ERA and has struck out an outstanding 64 batters in just 45.1 innings.
