Named AL and NL Rookies of the Month

Jared Walsh and Ke'Bryan Hayes both put up stellar numbers in the month of September. Walsh tallied 29 hits, including four doubles, two triples and nine home runs, while driving in 26 runs. The slugging first baseman produced a remarkable .337 batting average. Hayes, another corner infielder, carried a .376 batting average in the month with five home runs, seven doubles and two triples.
