MAY 10, 1953 — Roy Campanella's scintillating start to the 1953 campaign continued, as the catcher was responsible for all five of the Dodgers runs in a 5-0 win over the Phillies. Campanella's 3-for-5 game brought his batting average up to .390 on the season and his 40th RBI set the MLB record through the first 30 games of a season.
