On his first day in a Cubs uniform, Craig Kimbrel notched his 334th career save and 1st as a member of the Cubs. Kimbrel locked down a wild 9-7 victory over the Braves as the Cubs new closer. The right-hander signed a three-year, $43 million contract with the team.
