Max Scherzer dominated on the mound by striking out 11 while throwing seven scoreless innings against the Royals, while also recording his first stolen base of the season. With this performance he became the first player since 1900 with multiple career games of 10+ strikeouts, a base hit & a stolen base. During this game the Nationals paid tribute to the team’s roots by wearing throwback Montreal Expos’ uniforms.
