Chase Burns was firing on all cylinders for the Cincinnati Reds in their showdown against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Club's young right-hander struck out 10 batters in six innings of one-run ball. Burns' latest stellar outing made him the first player in MLB history since at least 1893 with 10 or more strikeouts in four of his first eight career outings.
