Paul DeJong

Paul DeJong became the first shortstop in NL history to hit three home runs and score four times in a road contest. DeJong fueled a 14–8 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, logging four hits and driving in five runs. The shortstop was integral part of the team’s nine-run second inning, opening the scoring with a solo shot and scoring later in the inning after reaching on a double.
