On the day before his 23rd birthday, Bubba Chandler gifted Pittsburgh fans a pitching performance to remember. In his second career start, Chandler struck out seven Nationals batters, carrying a perfect game big into the sixth inning. That performance made him just the fourth Pirates rookie since 1961 to carry a perfect game that distance.
