54th HR sets catcher mark, ties switch-hitter record

Cal Raleigh went from hearing about legends as a kid to joining them in the record books. The Mariners catcher cracked his 54th homer of the season in an 11-2 win over the Angels, tying Mickey Mantle for the most in a campaign by a switch-hitter in MLB history. Raleigh's 43rd blast while playing catcher also moved him past Javy Lopez (2003) for the single-season record.
