JULY 11, 1972 — After a 3-for-3 performance nearly brought the Cubs to a come-from-behind victory in the first contest of a doubleheader, Billy Williams made sure he did even more to lead a win in game two. Williams produced a five-hit game to bring his doubleheader hit total to eight and scored three runs to secure a 9-5 win over the Astros.
