The city of San Diego might soon be petitioned to change its name to “Slam Diego”, because the Padres have made bases loaded history. For the fourth consecutive game, the Padres hit a grand slam, a feat never before seen in Major League history. Starting back on Monday, the club has received grand slams from Fernando Tatis Jr., Wil Myers, Manny Machado and then Eric Hosmer during Thursday night’s 8-7 win over Texas.
