Miguel Tejada

SEPTEMBER 1, 2002 — Three home runs in the ninth inning put the Oakland Athletics behind, 5-4. The demoralizing top half of the inning could have crushed the team, but Miguel Tejada had other ideas. Ramon Hernandez worked a walk and then Ray Durham punched a single through to set the team up with runners aboard in the bottom of the ninth. After a Olmedo Saenz strikeout, Tejada launched a walk-off, three-run blast to secure an epic come-from-behind win for the Oakland Athletics.
