Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher is crowned the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Champion. With a 14-point advantage heading into the final race in Bahrain, all Schumacher had to do was to remain ahead of title rival Callum Ilott. But he also wanted to finish 2020 with another win, so he pushed hard in the opening laps – a bit too hard in fact. Having to pit for fresh rubber, Schumacher re-joined at the back of the field, keeping Ilott's title hopes alive. Despite a spirited drive from the Briton - whose only option to beat the German in the final standings was to take the win - he could not achieve that. Schumacher was rewarded for his impressive consistency throughout the campaign with the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Raising the trophy will inspire confidence as he graduates to Formula 1 next season with Haas F1 Team.
