Reawakens the R25

Fernando Alonso got behind the wheel of his R25 Championship-winning car to the delight of Formula1 fans around the world. Alonso and the iconic Renault ended the dominance of Schumacher and Ferrari in 2005 to usher in a new era in the sport. He wowed in the car once again in Abu Dhabi, the noisy V10 an evocative reminder of days gone by. It was a fitting 'welcome back' parade for the Spaniard, who became the youngest ever F1 World Champion in the R25. He will now be looking forward to a return to the grid at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in March 2021.
