The San Diego Padres dominated the Toronto Blue Jays, scoring 19 runs on a franchise-record seven home runs. The Padres started out with a modest 3-1 lead on a double in the first inning and two home runs in the second. However, the team caught fire, scoring in five straight innings beginning in the fourth. The Padres cruised to a 19-4 win.
