John Means

John has emerged as the ace of the Orioles staff over the last year and on Sunday afternoon, he showed that his stuff can shut down even the strongest of Clubs. Taking on the first-place Rays, Means struck out a career-high 12 batters in just 5.2 innings of work, recording all but five outs by "way of the K". As a team, Baltimore punched out 15 Tampa Bay batters, which is one shy of the Club record set back on September 18, 1968.
