In a season full of firsts, the Washington Nationals and Toronto Blue Jays played in a wild one on Wednesday night. Playing to a 0-0 tie after nine innings, the Washington Nationals, as the away team, led off the tenth with a runner on second and proceeded to score four times. It was the first time this year that they implemented the automatic runner rule and certainly the first time they were guests in their own stadium. They were unfazed as they shut down the Blue Jays bats in the bottom of the inning to win 4-0.
