The 2020 MLB season has accounted for many firsts in its small sample size, but one that might look odd to future historians could be Edwin's lead-off, two-run home run on Wednesday night. The rookie's blast gave the Dodgers a 4–2 lead in the top of the thirteenth inning against the Astros in Houston, the first home run of its kind. With Enrique Hernandez beginning the inning at second base, thanks to the new automatic runner rule, Rios homered off of Astros reliever Cy Sneed and that was all the Dodgers needed to win.
