Facing a Reds team built on a dominant starting rotation, the Braves surprised with lights-out pitching of their own. The Braves took the first game by shutting out the Reds over 13 innings and then turned in another shutout in the second game. The impressive pitching performance and some timely hitting earned the Braves an NLDS appearance.
