Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton dominates the Portuguese Grand Prix to take Michael Schumacher’s record for race wins. His 92nd victory looked in jeopardy as he lost his pole position to Bottas and Sainz in a dramatic opening lap. When the tyres warmed up however, Hamilton was back to his best, easing past the front-runners to eventually finish 25.592 seconds ahead of Bottas in second place. The largest winning margin of the year, it was a dominant drive befitting of such an historic record. An incredible achievement for Mercedes’ Hamilton, who will now have his sights set on securing a 7th FIA Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship title.
