Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton claimed his 96th victory in Bahrain and set the record for the most laps led – beating the previous record of 5,111 held by Michael Schumacher. The British driver spent most of the race in an exciting duel with rival Max Verstappen. The Red Bull Racing driver had the fresher tyres and even passed Hamilton at one point off-track before having to give way to his Mercedes rival. However, Hamilton skilfully held off the Dutchman and claimed his 96th F1 Grand Prix victory as well as breaking Schumacher's long-held record.
