José Urquidy
Houston Houston Astros
José Urquidy led the way for the Houston Astros 7-2 World Series Game 2 victory over the Atlanta Braves with a historic performance on the mound. The 26-year-old hurler scattered six hits over five innings of two-run ball, walked none and struck out seven batters. With this effort, Urquidy became the first Mexican-born pitcher to win multiple World Series games. Jose is also the first pitcher to own a sub-2.00 ERA, record 10-plus strikeouts and allow zero walks over his first two World Series starts. His previous World Series start was Game 2 of the 2019 World Series, where he tossed five and 2/3 scoreless innings.
