Jeff Bagwell carried the Houston Astros to a 9-6, extra-innings victory over the San Francisco Giants with a brilliant offensive performance. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year recipient went 5-for-6 at the plate with three runs scored and four total RBI. Bagwell's defining moment of the contest came in the bottom of the 11th inning where he crushed a walk-off, three-run homer off of Giants hurler Steve Reed.
