After losing their 7-0 lead, the Detroit Tigers were squared away with the Kansas City Royals at seven headed into the bottom of the ninth inning. Robbie Grossman held off the late-game offensive surge that was sprung by the Royals in the final two innings of the contest with a blistering walk-off single. The 31-year-old outfielder laced a hit through the right side of the infield for his fifth RBI of the contest to ultimately lift the Tigers to an 8-7 win.
