Vladimir Guerrero Jr. launched two longballs in Monday's matchup to gain a share of the MLB home run lead at 15. He sits at the top with Ronald Acuña Jr., as they are now just the third pair in the last 30 years to lead MLB in homers and be under the age of 24 with at least 15 homers into the season. The last time this occurred was in July of 2015 when 22-year-old Bryce Harper and a 23-year-old Mike Trout were both sitting in the top two positions of the leaderboard. Prior to that instance, Juan Gonzalez and Ken Griffey Jr. were both 23 years old and were the top two home run leaders towards the end of the 1993 season.
