Lewis Hamilton tied Michael Schumacher for most wins in a single F1 event, having claimed victory at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Hamilton endured a dramatic start, having collided with rival Verstappen and then been given a penalty which looked to have dented his hopes of victory. However, Hamilton is not a driver to write off and he put in a fantastic recovery drive to take the lead from Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc on Lap 50 of 52. The British crowd predictably went wild with Hamilton winning his eighth Formula 1 British Grand Prix – tying with Michael Schumacher for the most wins in a single F1 event.
