Brandon Crawford took the field for the 1,326th time at shortstop to set a new San Francisco Giants franchise record. Crawford leaped Travis Jackson, who played for the New York Giants from 1922-1936, for the most games played at shortstop by a Giants player. Following the ovation from the Texas Rangers crowd for his historic feat, Brandon launched two longballs for his fifth career multi-homer game and finished 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBI.
