The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner scattered three hits with no walks over six scoreless innings and nine strikeouts for his eighth win on the year. Kershaw has now accumulated 36 starts with nine-plus strikeouts with no free bases allowed in his career. That is good for the second most in MLB history only behind Hall-of-Famer Randy Johnson, with 41.
