Fresh off his heroic night with a walk-off knock, Rafael Devers collected his 500th career hit in the first inning of the series opener against the Atlanta Braves with a longball. The 24-year-old slugger connected on an outside breaking-ball and drove it 435 feet to dead center-field for a three-run blast. Devers' home run was the 90th of his young career, only Ted Williams and Tony Conigliaro have hit more for the Red Sox before the age of 25.
