Max Kranick

Max Kranick set the tone for the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Kranick entered Sunday's contest as the organization's number 26 overall prospect and backed up his ranking with a historic first impression. The Scranton, Pennsylvania, product tossed five spotless innings with three strikeouts to become the first pitcher in MLB history to record 5 or more perfect innings in a debut.
