Yordan Álvarez put on a full display of his power as his bat led the charge for the Houston Astros in the 9-6 victory over the Oakland Athletics. The 2019 American League Rookie of the Year went 3-for-3 at the plate with two longballs and five RBI. Yordan's first blast came in the bottom of the first inning, off of Chris Bassitt, and sent it over the wall in deep left-center field for a two-run homer. He struck again in the bottom of the fifth inning and belted a 93-mph fastball over the left-field wall for a game-tying, three-run home run.
