With the scoreboard at Nationals Park flashing 24 runs on 22 hits for the visiting San Diego Padres, Wil Myers and his teammates had just made some Friars history – scoring the most runs ever in a game. Contributing to that outpouring was Wil, who had three hits, including two home runs, and seven RBI. That was a career-high mark for the 30-year-old former Rookie of the Year, and certainly a good way to kick off the second half of the 2021 season.
