Will Smith becomes the first Dodgers closer to record a save in each of his first three career starts as Los Angeles defeats the Diamondbacks, 5-2, at Dodger Stadium. The left-hander allows just one hit and strikes out seven over 2.2 innings to earn the save. Smith entered the game in the eighth inning and induced a flyout from Eduardo Escobar to end the frame. He then struck out Josh VanMeter and got Carson Kelly to ground out to end the ninth for his first career save.
