Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton pulled off a stunning victory at the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix 2021 in Sochi. Hamilton started fourth on the grid and slipped to seventh at the start. However a late tyre change and wet conditions changed the race. The Mercedes driver maintained a rapid pace going into the closing stages, chasing Lando Norris for the lead. With three laps left, Hamilton made his move and overtook Norris for a record 100th race win and the lead in the F1 Drivers’ World Championship.
