Max Muncy closed out the series finale between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates with an offensive explosion at the plate. The 30-year-old utility man from Midland, Texas, went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, one walk, two longballs and five total RBI. Muncy's two-homer barrage marked his fifth homer in the last four games, all in which the Dodgers have won. Max struck in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run blast and again in the bottom of the fourth inning with a three-run shot. The Dodgers would win, 9-0, and complete the sweep over the Pirates.
