The Angels trailed the Detroit Tigers, 10-2, through five innings in Thursday's series finale at Comerica Park. The ensuing inning, the Angels put up a six-spot to decrease the deficit to just two runs. Max Stassi launched a go-ahead, two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning just over the left-field wall to give the Angels their first lead of the game. Shohei Ohtani would tac on an insurance run in the eighth inning with a sac fly and Phil Gosselin would do the same with a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning. The Angels eight-run comeback is tied for the most in franchise history and they would go on to win 13-10.
