For the first time in his seven-year MLB career, Zack Wheeler reached the single-season, 200-strikeouts mark. The 31-year-old flamethrower is the first pitcher to accomplish this feat in 2021 and just the third pitcher in Philadelphia Phillies history to do it in 26 games or less. Wheeler's 200th strikeout came in the top of the sixth inning, as he fired a 97-mph fastball past the bat of Brett Phillips.
