José Abreu of the Chicago White Sox and C.J. Cron of the Colorado Rockies has been named AL and NL Players of the Month. Abreu takes home Player of the Month honors for the fourth time in his career following a stellar offensive showing. The 34-year-old reigning AL MVP led all League hitters with 74 total bases over his 28 games played. Cron takes home this monthly award for the first time in his eight-year career. The Fullerton, California, product led all NL hitters in home runs (11), OPS (1.291), batting average (.387), RBI (34) and total bases (77).
