Marcus Semien led the way for the Toronto Blue Jays 8-0 victory over the New York Yankees with an offensive explosion at the plate. The 30-year-old second baseman from San Francisco, California, went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, two longballs and five total RBI. Semien first struck in the top of the first inning with a solo blast and would follow up in the top of the ninth inning with a towering grand slam.
