Patrick Wisdom made franchise history during the NL Central Division matchup between the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers. In the top of the eighth inning, the 30-year-old slugger connected for his 27th longball of the year, marking the most by a Cubs rookie in a single season. The previous record holder was Kris Bryant, who smacked 26 homers during his 2015 NL Rookie of the Year campaign. "The fact that he breaks the rookie record for this organization," Cubs manager David Ross said, "with some really talented players that have been here, and in that fashion, was awesome."
