Marcus Semien entered uncharted waters with a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning in the matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Minnesota Twins. The 31-year-old slugger connected on a hanging breaking ball, delivered from Bailey Ober, and sent it well over the left-center-field wall at Target Field. With this blast, Semien joins Brian Dozier (2016), Davey Johnson (1973) and Rogers Hornsby (1922) as the only second basemen in MLB history to reach 42 homers in a single season.
