On a day when the Phillies needed it the most with a staff filled with unavailable arms, the 26-year-old southpaw fired a 97–pitch, complete-game shutout. Suárez wielded his dominant arsenal of prolific pitches, scattered just four hits, fanned seven batters and pitched a career-high nine innings.
