Having already made headlines once this offseason when he announced his retirement back on November 4, San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey was in the spotlight once more Monday evening when he was announced as the 2021 NL Comeback Player of the Year Award winner. The 34-year-old, who missed the entire 2020 season due to Covid concerns, put together an outstanding final season to a decorated career. Posey hit .304 with 18 home runs, his highest total since 2015, and drove in 56 runs – earning a nod to his seventh and final career MLB All-Star team.
