Major League Baseball history has been made and Aaron Judge is the new American League single-season home run king. The slugging outfielder hit his 62nd blast of the 2022 season in game two of Tuesday night’s doubleheader between his New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers. Judge spared no time launching this monumental longball, doing so in the very first at-bat of the contest. This legendary homer broke the tie between Judge and previous record holder Roger Maris, who hit 61 in 1961, but now Judge wears the crown all on his own.
